This will be re-announced soon, but planning for WordCamp Atlanta 2011 has started. We’re sticking to our date of 11-12 February 2011.
I’m wondering about this site. Is our point of contact now only via Jane and not this P2? Where’s this mass email?

Tomorrow’s the big day! Following the guide to the right has been nothing but extremely helpful. Also, a big thanks to Maya and all of the other WordCamp organizers I’ve been talking to.
Let’s hope we did this well.
good luck, brandon! go ATL!
Anyone have contacts with the page.ly or Rackspace team? We’re looking to have them as sponsors.
Rackspace, yes…. Let me dig through my contacts and I’ll ping you directly.
Brandon, I talked to the Rackspace guys at BWE09 about sponsoring for our event too.
The guy I talked to was Roland Barerra (Team lead – Fanatical Support). His email is rbarrera@rackspace.com and his direct phone line is 210-312-4120. Hope this helps.
Hey Brandon, just sent you an intro to Steve, my Rackspace contact. Good luck!
Talk to Josh Strebel w/ Page.ly – joshua.strebel@gmail.com
Tell him Chuck gave you his info
Awesome. They actually stepped up to us about it, the person doing sponsorships told me last night.
An interesting plus from one of Atlanta’s sponsors, MailChimp. If you start a new account with MailChimp to keep attendees updated, and start a new Eventbrite account using the link from their backend, Eventbrite waves your fees for the first event. Also, the two integrate with each other.

Interesting indeed.
Big news. Everything’s going well, getting sponsors, speakers and whatnot. If you live in the AirTran network, there’s going to be a discount for all of you!

AirTran network discount? Do tell!
Random question – Being in the south, we do have excellent BBQ. Is it a WordCamp tradition to have that for lunch? I only ask because I read Matt’s “The Way I Work” in Inc.
We always do BBQ at WordCamp SF – it is sort of a tradition now. Since you’re in the south, I think it would be awesome to have BBQ.
It’s only a tradition when Matt goes to an event. For other people, it’s less ideal, since it can be messy.
Hi, everyone! I’m an organizer for WordCamp Atlanta, January 8-9, 2010. Looking forward to learning more from you all and helping wherever I can!
Hi Brandon, welcome!
Hi Brandon. Do you have a website yet? Can’t find anything on google.
Good luck! Can’t wait to hear how it turns out.
